The following tests should be done before any operation under general anaesthesia:

• Blood cell count;
• Blood clotting system: APTT, prothrombin index;
• Serum glucose level;
• Blood group.

Prior to breast surgery the patients are required to have breast ultrasound examination done.

Any other possible examinations are carried out on surgeon's recommendations.

HB\ vaccination ( two basic doses ) is recommended prior to the surgery ( but it is not compulsory ).
